Transport the Karaoke to your computers screen.

You will surely know many audio players, but, what happens when you want to combine the playback of your favorite songs with their corresponding Karaoke lyrics? In these cases there aren't so many applications available.

   A simple and practical solution to play the contents of the MIDI, CDG and MPEG files that contain the lyrics of your favorite songs is PyKaraoke.

   PyKaraoke works natively with the MP3+G, OGG+G, WAV+G formats that are usually used for the reproduction of Karaoke songs. As well as being compatible with other formats, be it through the same applications or an associated external player.

  Once your file collection has been added, PyKaraoke will search for any compatible formats (MIDI, KAR, OGG+G, WAV+G, MPEG o CD+G) in the specified directories, even checking the contents of compressed files. By double clicking on any of these files you will be able to view, in a new window, the lyrics of the song, that will be highlighted according to the defined time of the Karaoke file.

  As an additional feature, from the command line the application is capable of converting the CDG and KAR Karaoke formats to MPG.

  Note: The application doesn't include the songs.
